To remove AltNet, please follow the instruction:
- Click Start > Control Panel, in the Control Panel window, double-click Add or Remove Programs. Click Kazaa, click Add/Remove. Follow the prompts.
- Click Start > Run. Type REGEDIT. Then click OK. Navigate to and delete the registry subkeys:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Altnet
HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21-14627781-1401277002-153983898-1006\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\MenuOrder\Start Menu2\Programs\Altnet.
- Navigate to the subkey: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run. In the right pane, delete the value: AltnetPointsManager
- Remove the directory in Explorer if exist:

- Reboot the computer.
