To remove Gared, please follow the instruction:

1. Terminate the processes in Task Manager:
   kernel23.exe
   w32word.exe
    
2. Click Start > Run. Type REGEDIT. Then click OK. Navigate to the subkey and delete the values:
   HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run "Win32" = "%System%\w32word.exe" "RunSystem" = "%Temp%\kernel23.exe"

3. Remove the files mentioned above in Explorer if exist.
