To uninstall Media Pass Adware:
- Click Start > Settings >
Control
Panel. In the Control Panel window,
double-click Add/Remove Programs. If
you do not see the Add/Remove Programs icon,
click "...view all Control Panel
options."
- Click MediaPass or MediaAccess >
Add/Remove, Change/Remove, or Remove.
Follow the prompts.
- After reboot, click Start > Run, type
regedit and click OK.
- Go to the subkey HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run,
delete the values "Media Access"
= "C:\Program
Files\Media Access\MediaAccK.exe" and
"Media Pass" = "C:\Program
Files\Media Access\MediaPassK.exe"
- Delele the subkeys LoaderX.EXE,
{735C5A0C-F79F-47A1-8CA1-2A2E482662A8},
{1E5E0D38-214B-4085-AD2A-D2290E6A2D2C},
{15696AE2-6EA4-47F4-BEA6-A3D32693EFC7},
{00ADA225-EA6C-4FB3-82E8-68189201CCB9} and MediaAccess.Installer
from HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\.
- Remove %ProgramFiles%\Media Access
and %ProgramFiles%\Media Pass\
directories.
Note: %ProgramFiles% is a variable that
refers to the program files folder. By
default, this is C:\Program Files.
However, a few of registry entries
may be left
behind deleting. You can ask for Spyware Doctor
to clean up.
