To uninstall PrivateEye:

1. Terminate the process in TaskManager:
   pit.exe
   
   
2. Click Start > Run. Type regedit. Then click OK. Navigate to and delete the subkey:
   HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Private Eye 2004_is1
   
   Navigate to the subkey: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run, delete the value:
   "000" = "C:\Private Eye 2004\pit.exe"
   
   
3. Remove the directory in Explorer:
   C:\Private Eye 2004\

However, a few of registry entries may be left behind deleting. You can ask for Spyware Doctor to clean up.
