Sober.X Removal:
To remove Sober.X, please follow the instruction:
- Download stng259.exe v2.5.9,
Download ePOStg256.Zip EPO deployable version (for EPO administrators).
- When prompted, choose to save the file to a convenient location on your hard disk.
- When the download is complete, navigate to the folder that contains the downloaded Stinger file, and run it.
- If necessary, click the Add or Browse button to add additional drives/directories to scan. By default the C: drive will be scanned.
- Click the Scan Now button to begin scanning the specified drives/directories.
- By default Stinger will repair all infected files found.
McAfee VirusScan can automatically remove the worm. Even if you remove it manually, we recommend you should use McAfee VirusScan to make sure it's completely removed from your system and will not be reinstalled by itself.
