To uninstall WinProtect:
- Terminate following processes in TaskManager:
dosxpd.exe
- Click Start > Run. Type regedit.
Then
click OK.
Navigate to and delete the registry keys:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\CLSID\[{XXXXXXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXXXXXXXXX}]
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\CLSID\[{XXXXXXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXXXXXXXXX}]\Data
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\CLSID\[{XXXXXXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXXXXXXXXX}]\LocalServer
- Remove these files in Explorer:
dosxpd.exe
%Windir%\Help\CHMRedir.chm
%Windir%\balloon.wav
However, a few of registry entries
may be left
behind deleting. You can ask for Spyware Doctor to clean up.
