BookedSpace Description:

BookedSpace is an Internet Explorer Browser Helper Object used to show advertising. BookedSpace can contact its controlling server when a new page is visited, which may direct it to open pop-up ads. When the controlling server is contacted, the URL of the current page is passed along with a user ID for tracking purposes.

BookedSpace/BS2 and BookedSpace/BS3: newer revisions (August 2003) with filename bs2.dll or bs3.dll, controlling server www.bookedspace.com.

BookedSpace Manual Removal:

1. Go to the key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run.
   If you find the value HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\run\bookedspace, delete it and reboot the machine immediately.
   If you find the value HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\run\bsx3, delete it and reboot the machine immediately.
   If you find the value HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\run\bxss5, delete it and reboot the machine immediately.
   If you find the value HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\run\bxsx5, delete it and reboot the machine immediately.
    
2. Register these DLLs with Regsvr32, then reboot:

3. Remove these registry items (if present) with RegEdit:
   HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\bookedspace.extension
   HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\bookedspace.extension.5
   HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\bookedspace
   HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\run\bookedspace
   HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\run\bsx3
   HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\run\bxss5
   HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\run\bxsx5
   HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\remanent
    
4. Remove these files (if present) with Windows Explorer:
   c:\documents and settings\administrator\desktop\remove spyware.url

   %SystemRoot%\bxxs5.dll
   %SystemRoot%\oo4.dll

5. Remove these directories (if present) with Windows Explorer:
