MiniKeylogger Description:
MiniKeylogger is a key logger that monitors
various Windows events, such mouse, keyboard,
browser, and dial-up activities. Because
MiniKeylogger can run in stealth mode, without
users noticing, it constitutes a security risk.
Minikeylogger is a stand-alone program, although
its components can be distributed as part of
other software.
File names: MiniKeylogger.exe; Mklmon32.exe;
Mlkmon32.dll
When Spyware.MiniKeylogger is executed, it
preforms the following actions:
- Presents a graphical interface for the
initial configuration.
- Creates the following files:
- %System%\mklmon32.exe
- %System%\mlkmon32.dll
- If the keylogger is instructed to run in the
background, it will continue to run after its
configuration interface has been closed. The
keylogger therefore runs in stealth mode.
- Can be configured to monitor the following
events:
- Windows activities (open,close,shutdown,startup)
- Mouse activities
- Keyboard activities (keystrokes)
- Clipboard content
- Power status
- File operations
- Dial up activities
- Internet Explorer activities
- User account activities
