MySearch Description:

MySearch is a browser toolbar. This toolbar allows to search the web using popular Internet search engines. However, it also displays advertising links. When processing the search query, My Search may send a request to their servers that includes the keyword query, time of day, browser type, default language setting, IP address, an anonymous unique ID, and a code which identifies the distribution source of My Search application. It is distributed from a variety of websites including www.mysearch.com. Also, our research team has observed the Toolbar being installed with a bundle of known adware and file-sharing applications and other rogue programs. Recently, MySearch was found bundled with adware from FasterXP.com. In the past, it was observed being installed without user awareness or permission through security exploits from a variety of websites belonging to third-party distributors.

MySearch/MySearch was the first variant, targeted at mysearch.com.

MySearch/MyWay uses different filenames and is targeted at myway.com itself.

MySearch/MyWeb is a new variant targeted at mywebsearch.com.

To remove MySearch, please follow the instructions:

1. Terminate the processes in Task Manager:
   s4bareq.exe
   my2ns.exe
   s42ns.exe
   s4sept.exe
   soproc.exe
   adinstalle.exe
    
2. Click Start > Run. Type REGSVR32 -u %Dll_name%. Then click OK. Replace %Dll_name% with followings:
   mysrchas.dll

   npmysrch.dll
   s4popswt.dll
   s4bar.dll
   s4ezsetp.dll
   pagerevisor.dll
   mybar.dll
    
3. Click Start > Run. Type REGEDIT. Then click OK. Navigate to the subkeys and delete the values:
