Follow these steps to remove Powerscan from your machine. Begin by backing up your registry and your system, and/or setting a Restore Point, to prevent trouble if you make a mistake.

1. Kill these running processes with Task Manager:
   c:\program files\power scan\powerscan.exe
   programfilesdir+\power scan\powerscan.exe
   
2. Remove AutoRun Reference: Go to the key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run.
   
3. Remove these registry items (if present) with RegEdit:
   HKEY_CURRENT_USER\software\powerscan\account_id
   HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\run\power scan
   
4. Remove these files (if present) with Windows Explorer:
   c:\program files\power scan\powerscan.exe
   programfilesdir+\power scan\powerscan.exe
   
5. Remove these directories (if present) with Windows Explorer:
   programfilesdir+\power scan
