SafeSearch Manual Removal:

Follow these steps to remove SafeSearch from your machine. Begin by backing up your registry and your system, and/or setting a Restore Point, to prevent trouble if you make a mistake.

1. Kill these running processes with Task Manager:
   programfilesdir+\primesoft\safesearch\safesearch.exe
   
2. Remove AutoRun Reference: Go to the key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run.
   
3. Unregister  these DLLs with Regsvr32, then reboot:
   safesearch.dll
   
4. Remove these registry items (if present) with RegEdit:
   HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\interface\{28e6cce2-3f2c-4b3d-9cb4-2fc8715a3ece}
   HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\safesearch.safesearchbho
   HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\safesearch.safesearchbho.1
   HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\typelib\{cb5006ee-f57d-4116-b7b6-48eb564fe0f0}
   HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\run\safesearch
   
5. Remove these files (if present) with Windows Explorer:
   programfilesdir+\primesoft\safesearch\safesearch.exe
   
6. Remove these directories (if present) with Windows Explorer:
   programfilesdir+\primesoft\safesearch
   
7. After following the instructions above, you will still need to restore your original settings and prevent this from happening again. Here's how.
