SVAPlayer is a system tray icon and Internet
Explorer Browser Helper Object that shows
advertising messages.
SVAPlayer and its manufacturers QuickFlicks
Inc. seem to have been defunct since some time in
2001. The software still connects to its
controlling servers at streamingcash.com, though
attempts to open windows from its content servers
at quickflicks.com and rn11.com fail.
Open a DOS command prompt window (from
Start->Programs->Accessories) and enter the
following commands:
cd "%WinDir%\System"
regsvr32.exe /u "\Program Files\SVA Player\SVAPLAYER.EXE"
Now open the registry (Start->Run->regedit),
find the key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
and delete the 'SVAPlayer' entry.
After restarting the computer you should be
able to delete the 'SVA Player' folder inside
'Program Files', and the registry key SVAplayer
in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software and
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software, to clean up.
