Spyware Protect 2009 is a rogue security program that uses scare tactics by showing fake warning popups, fake security warnings, fake scan results to trick user. It displays an excessive amount of pop-up ads that pushes users to download and purchase the program. It is published by Magic Software, Inc.

Spyware Protect 2009 gains access to the system with a help of trojan viruses. Usually it is trojan Zlob or Vundo. Also this scam has a website, so it can be downloaded and installed manually from there.

Terminate the processes in Task Manager:
sysguard.exe
sysguardn.exe
SpywareProtect2009.exe
Click Start > Run. Type REGEDIT. Then click OK. Navigate to the subkeys and delete the values:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run\"sysguard" = "%Windir%\sysguard.exe"
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\AvScan
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\WINDOWS\CURRENTVERSION\RUNONCEEX\sysguardn
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Extensions\sysguard.exe

Remove the file mentioned above in Explorer if exists.
