WinXDefender is a fake anti-spyware program designed to lure you into purchasing its rogue full version. WinXDefender is designed to issue fake security warnings to make you believe that your computer is infected with spyware. These messages may look similar to the ones issued from Windows Security center. Although WinXDefender may seem a legitimate program, it only seeks to swindle you out your money and is a rogue program.

WinXDefender Removal:
To remove WinXDefender, please follow the instruction:
- Terminate the processes in Task Manager:
WinXDefender.exe
pkill.exe
- Click Start > Run. Type REGEDIT. Then click OK. Navigate to the subkey and delete the value:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run\"WinXDefender" = "C:\Program Files\WinXDefender\WinXDefender.exe"

- Remove the files mentioned above and following directories in Explorer if exist:
%UserProfile%\Start Menu\Programs\WinXDefender\
%ProgramFiles%\WinXDefender\
